This stunning Sprint Run expression of the Meerkat revives this clever design and makes it even more distinctive with a blade crafted from CarpenterĀ® Technologyās Micro-Melt PD#1. This air-hardening, cold-work die steel is specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. Its properties are further enhanced by the CarTechĀ® Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an extremely fine, homogenous microstructure. The full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade of this elite knife is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and its fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales are injection molded in a deep burgundy color. True to this dramatic black-and-burgundy theme, the knifeās reversible, tipdown, deep-pocket wire clip, full stainless steel liners, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
