The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® SPY27® steel and features a striking, skeletonized design of The Statue of Liberty. Developed in close cooperation with Crucible® Industries, CPM SPY27 is a cobalt-enriched stainless steel that enhances the time-tested chemistry of Japanese VG-10 with the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. This state-of-the-art method wrings maximum performance out of the steel by reducing alloy segregation and ensuring a fine, homogenous microstructure. Proprietary to Spyderco, this high-performance blade material is renowned for its ability to get “sticky sharp,” while balancing edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
Equally unique, the handle of this knife features breathtaking fatcarbon® Black Dunes carbon fiber scales. Lightweight and exceptionally strong, this state-of-the-art material is both practical and visually stunning. All other features are consistent with the proven Para Military 2 platform, including nested stainless steel liners, a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism, and a four-position pocket clip.
