This limited-edition Exclusive version of the Spyderco Shamanā¢ was specially manufactured for Smoky Mountain Knife Works (SMKW.com) and is available only through their sales channels.
The full-flat-ground PlainEdgeā¢ blade of this elite knife is crafted from CrucibleĀ® Industries' CPMĀ® S45VNā¢, an advanced particle-metallurgy stainless steel created specifically for the knife industry. CPM S45VN's finely balanced chemistry promotes the formation of chromium carbides while leaving more free chromium in the steel's matrix. Some of its vanadium and carbon have also been replaced by niobium and nitrogen. The result is a state-of-the-art steel that offers an exceptional balance of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, edge retention, and toughness.
The handle of this knife showcases gray canvas MicartaĀ® scales. Their interior surfaces are machined to house nested black liners and their smooth exterior surfaces are contoured to reveal the handsome layered construction of this classic handle material. The handle also features a four-position pocket clip accompanied by black hardware.
