Moranā¢ Drop Point
The late Bill Moran was an icon of American custom knifemaking and the founder of the American Bladesmith Society. Spyderco is honored to have collaborated with him to create two production versions of his signature āFeatherlightā custom design. The Moranā¢ Drop Point features a blade that is full-flat ground from VG-10 stainless steel for phenomenal edge geometry. The preferred blade configuration of many experienced hunters, its drop-point profile lowers the tip to increase control and reduce the possibility of nicking an animalās entrails during field dressing. The knifeās elegantly simple handle is molded from durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and features KratonĀ® rubber inlays for a secure grip, even with wet hands. Lightweight and incredibly versatile, the Moran Drop Point includes a custom-molded BoltaronĀ® sheath with a multi-position G-Clipā¢ mount that is configurable for a wide spectrum of carry positions.
